As I snuggle my girl while she falls asleep and fights sleep by poking my face. I do as I have done since I was a child and think “remember this, remember this, remember this”… hoping the mantra will somehow lock away and preserve this moment forever in my mind. I’m laying with her and it seems to take forever for her to settle down, but as soon as I have thought this I am back downstairs and making dinner and settling into our Saturday evening of wings and House Hunters.

Take a moment and breathe it all in, this is how I try to conduct Motherhood Photography Sessions, whether in a client’s home, in my studio, or playing under the newly blossomed trees in Washington Crossing Park. Remember how tiny their hands are, remember how she smells of outside and berries, remember how they nuzzle you, remember how you belly laugh and your eyes crinkle when they dance around you in circles.
